Police crime commissioner elections low turnout

The results of the first ever police and crime commissioner elections in England and Wales are being counted up. Those elected will be able to oversee police policy and accountability at county level and can help decide how policing budgets are spent. They were touted as an exercise in increased democratisation in the force. But turnout was so low that the Electoral Commission has already announced they'll be reviewing the results.
